Owning your own business has it's pros and cons. After 30 plus yrs of having my own, I don't think I want to do it again at my age. I was offered 50/50 profit sharing and ownership without putting in any of my money from 2 -3 spas. I simply turned them down. My freedom is much more important than the money and the responsibilities at my age. Money is important when you are young and starting a family. Money doesn't mean anything to me now. I am on my last leg of my life journey and enjoying my life. My main priority now is keeping myself fit and healthy and having fun.

Kid, They are way way smarter than you . You don't have a clue how much they make a month. May be more than what you take home a year after all the tax. A decent 5-6 rooms spa avg price is about $50 to 60,000. It's a very small investment for them. A well run spa can make that kind of money back in less than one yr.

Do you remember that spa on Leslie at hwy7 that got 96 customers in one day? It's over $4,000 in just one day cuz some are 45 min and one hr customers. Just assume their avg is 50 to 60 customers a day. You do the math.

You are so desperate at one point you have promote two spas that are located on either side on the same street (La Monny and Golden Lotus). Perhaps you should start saving when you were young. You should beg Anna from Golden lotus to give you the promotion job back.

just curious, what % of clients do 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour massages do you see from your experience? - Have those numbers changed over the last few years? Any trends? I'm guessing, but thinking like for 30 minutes maybe 50% and 25% for both 45 and 1 hour appointments...

Holistic spas, mostly half hrs, I would say 95-98% and very little 45 minutes or one hr.
Semi legit spas, about 90% were one hr . Some 90 minutes about 10% and very little half hr.

LOL.. That's what most guys told me at the spa.
I was so looking forward to play golf next month and play 19th hole after golf. My dream is gone now. I hope this shit don't last too long. Thank God the package deals I bought at the spas has no expiry date.

Yes.. It has always been like that. Most holistic customers are there just for a quickie and most left the spas within 15- 20 minutes.

Golf is very expensive...but depends on the course too. But equipment, lessons, etc. is not cheap. What do you think green fees are for a higher end course?
