how could you damage the rep of a site called the escort review board...by get this... providing reviews...in detail...

I'm clueless...

but one thing is for sure...

the search button is your friend and has saved me a lot of time, effort and cash...

I believe in details...and reviewing and giving details...there are some english review boards that have way more explicit content...

if every experience had only 2 options for the outcome...good or bad...even that could be questioned...everyone is different...

Other mods may play it differently which is actually a good thing, because it helps to reach an acceptable and "safe" equilibrium, but here's how I look at it. Unless there is a specific case of an MP having problems with bylaw due to what is written on massageplanet.net and yes it does happen, make no mistake, I make my judgment based on what I deem to be crossing the line. After all, they are guidelines and as a moderator I try to keep the interest of the hobbyist, MPA's and MP's in mind. It may or may not comply entirely with my personal thinking, but as a mod of the massageplanet.net that is my role as I see it.

Hey, I actually sound kinda like a fuckin mod huh ... heheh ... ya won't here this stance too often, because as I alluded to earlier, I do believe a moderator should take a passive role for the most part and mainly deal with issues beyond the ability of member enabled functions. I think of myself as a member first.

The above is absolutely true. When I first read massageplanet.net,(3-4 years ago)I had no idea what the hell the abbreviations were. I could
not understand or crack any of the codes myself. So I tried
to create/figure out the codes on my own. LOL. I thought
Mileage was how old the attendant was. I thought YMMV was
Your Money May Vary, which was actually worse than the real
meaning of YMMV, which I thought meant that the client at
that time did not have any extra money, but if you do, then
your session may be different. I thought GFE was Good For
Everything, and that DFK might have been Definate Female
Knockout. I know, I know, LOL, but when you don't know the lingo, you don't understand the review. Which I assumed, was
the point of creating the abbreivations list. For newbies to understand. But should they understand everything, being new to the board, or should they earn their stripes, like all the veteran's did?
Then along comes the list, which allowed me to understand the session. I personally was suprised and thought that was redundant, but I could see alot of newbies
PMing and posting and asking, what is this? what is that?
I thought that when they made the list, It was at minimum,
discussed somewhat, with the understanding that their may
or may not be repercussions to creating the list.

If they are a shit attendant then no one will question a negative review. If they are a good attendant, then people will scoff at a negative review and slam the reviewer.

Bottom line remains that it is the responsibility of the attendant to ensure that she is prepared to provide a consistent performance that is pleasing to the client, similar to any other job where you have the responsibility to put forth your best effort the majority of the time. If you don't want to put forth the effort, then your co-workers, supervisors or customers will notice it and the negative feedback will become more routine.

As per reviews:

massageplanet.net is the soft core porn version of reviews on the net. They like to keep it somewhat clean and safe for the general viewing public and do the politically correct thing to please the advertisers (which is normal procedures for any business). Will people push the envelope? Of course they will, it's human nature and that will never change! I have pushed the envelope several times and have had several posts deleted. Did it piss me off? Not really. It is not my board and it is not my investment that is on the line either.

Does LE follow massageplanet.net? Yes. But they are more interested in establishing themselves in the sub-culture and joining the elite private boards or private rooms where "Extras" are discussed as open as classified ads. massageplanet.net is small potatoes to them and probably a forum to visit and have a few laughs while surfing the net.

No.

As much as people like to bitch, moan and berate massageplanet.net, the majority of community members from all local boards discovered the world of adult review boards through massageplanet.net (or were lead to massageplanet.net). The funniest posts to read on other boards are when familiar posters who were banned from massageplanet.net (for whatever reason) post about being banned from massageplanet.net. It is so easy to read between the lines and sense their anger at themselves for fucking up their membership here.

FZ has developed a unique hands off style with regards to managing his board with the deployment of his moderators. Like any smart manager, you hire people to do the work, and trust that they will get it done.

In summary, massageplanet.net is to big to be damaged. It is too diversified in it's topics, discussions and forums to be damaged.

My favourite only because one of my favourite girls works there and because one of their locations is convenient for me. I have other favourites. No I don't believe so. We are a product of our pasts as well. It is how we arrived here. I actually did write a review just prior to leaving on vacation. It is complete but I haven't posted it yet. I think given the subject of this thread it is a bit of an inappropriate time. It might be taken as an example of me trying to dictate how reviews should be written or some sort of contest which I'm not really interested in. Like I said, I'm only stating my opinion in this thread and the moderators will ultimately decide what is acceptable and what isn't. Maybe in a couple of weeks I will post it or write one on someone else. Or not.

First of all before I go into responding to the various posts made in the interim, let me just say the following:

For almost a year now I have been posting reviews now on massageplanet.net. In that time I am only aware of two instances where my review was edited, once last year and once recently, both were for small comments that were lapses/mistakes on my part. In that same period of time I also know that several reviews/threads were "moved" to an undisclosed location due to pressure from an advertiser. That does not bother me as I view it all in the course of business, even though that advertiser is known for shady practices.

My question is why did it take so long? I have always been here. I know that Rev is the biggest proponent of that side and that question should be more or less directed at him, but since massageplanet.net has itself "sorta" stepped in, why now and not before?

I have been attacked on several fronts, and some quite personal. You attacked my style and I had to show once again that I am a cameleon when it comes to writing reviews, yet if you had taken a look over my reviews you would see the changes quite easily and I do not stay on one side but move around on occasion. You tried to attack my ego, which is personal instead of professional, and anyone who knows me would say, and for which you found out that, you were barking up the wrong tree.

Remember I was attacked and I have dictated the fight, no punches or verbal slurs were thrown on my part, nothing below the belt which is exactly what the ego attack was, and yes I was hurt by that who wouldn't, no questions asked.

Here it is ...

For a long time massageplanet.net has lacked leadership in the review department, many of the veterans have not posted reviews for a long time and yet some of those same veterans have taken the otherside of the fence. The atmosphere has been dreary to say the least. Since I have come here I have always promoted that members write more reviews and have never dictated their style. I have also challenged those that take a negative view on posts, and most of them have been veterans as well. Many new members look up to the veterans who have the experience, I often wonder why a member who has been on the board for a long time does not have a single post. Now I see that many in that boat have decided to contribute by writing reviews. What makes me very happy is that they mention my name, at least I made a difference. Isn't making a difference in the world we live in something. Like I said before, I am just a man like many others out there recounting my journey and experiences to others, it does take a chunk out of my time, but so does Big Brothers or being a coach. It is the personal satisfaction I feel that is worth it in the end.

This is about reviews, plain and simple. I am glad that I have got that off my chest, now that you know how I feel we can continue.



As you know my view is not in line with Rev, but I am glad that you have jumped off the fence for a short time. Taking the view of all reviews is what I have taken as well, but in my research I tend to find that the readers also take varying forms.

The motivation of the reader is from the consumer standpoint. Yes some like the mystery and others want the facts, I have provided both in various reviews and have not stayed in one camp. People do not like the mystery component and prefer the facts. How is my session going to be like ? Not a fill in the gap and leave questions hanging, and many times that sways the reader between taking a chance and seeing the MPA who is being reviewed. In most cases that leads to PM from members which I will most of the time answer. If you write reviews you are going to be PMd.

I am also of the school that many reviews in different styles by of course different reviewers of varying tastes gives an overall picture of a particular MPA.

Thanks for the further narrative on the handle instance, I have a better picture and understanding now.

So let's take care of business ...



I never said that it is totally ignored.



What happened at Josephines occured as follows:

1) The first episode involved a building permit in which Bylaw officers accompanied by LE had to enter the premises, the owner had no permit and none of the rooms in the basement could be used. After that LE stuck their head in when they saw a lot of traffic there to make sure that the rooms in the basement were not being used.

2) This happened after the departure of some of the favourites from the MP during the summer. Apparently there was bad blood and phone calls were made that prompted the ByLaw officers and LE to take action. The LE got tired of this and did not respond afterwards. I wonder who called ?

3) The departures were due to the fact that Josephine was not treating the Ladies as PEOPLE. She was making the busier ones work longer shifts and more days during the week. They got fed up and left.

Did massageplanet.net play a part in this? Who knows? I do know that I will continue to review MPA at Josephines. You should know that she is trying to find out who I am, yes I know this, and still I entered her MP and wrote a review recently, yes I am MAD but I also like some excitement in my life.

That is correct Josephines is still around and has been around for over 40 years, it is the oldest MP in the GTA. In the course of it's history, the LE have entered the premises for business reasons at least once a year. For pleasure purposes who knows ... nudge nudge wink wink say no more.

There is more to this story, but I am not privy to mention all the facts. How do I know this ? As stated in a previous thread, this board has already lost the privilege of any future information about LE activity due to members actions.

One Question - What happened at 50L ?

There were no reviews in any open forums going back for a while if my memory serves me correctly, but 50L is gone. You can use Josephines with 30+ reviews, but I just gave you an example of an MP that is under the review radar that doesn't register on the map today, GONE.

I see your point, but do you see mine as well. You can bring up examples and I can do the same ... it is pointless but if you wish to continue this path, then so be it.

We have to work together not spend our energy in combat.

I did write a comical review today and was hoping for a comment from you, but none was forthcoming, I am patient.

There's no doubt that all that you say is an element of the truth, K, but it's only a part of the picture given the scope of massageplanet.net. The funny thing about tools is that although they can be used for other things, they still remain what they were intended for. For instance, you can take a screw driver and open cans with it, poke holes in things, clean your nails, hotwire cars etc, but in the end when someone needs to screw, it's still a screwdriver and hopefully if it isn't stripped it will still serve it's purpose ...

What Ref says is true regarding handles. When it's all said and done, the truth will alway prevail and seep through within the expanse of the overall picture.

As for assumptions of who we are, it doesn't really matter, because people will generally see others through their own filters as they want to anyway. Different people will read what you wrote and some may actually be able read what you wrote as you intended ( I know you and it took me a while to figure out where yer coming from ... heheh ), but your intent/motive will be interpreted in many different ways.

This is my opinion.

The guidlines (rules) should be straight and clear. They shouldn't apply to one spa that may have reported having problems, they should apply to all. Bylaws in many districts state that extras such as BS, NR, N etc. are not permitted. Reviews that mention these options in said districts should not be permitted. I am not the first to say this, others have in the past.

I personally do not see how anyone can support the notion of reporting bylaw infractions. That is in effect what such reviews are doing. They are saying MPA Sally at MP ABC Delight (fill in your own names) broke the law with me today. Go and see her and she might for you too. If I were a bylaw officer I would be lazy. I'd just follow reviewers around. I don't even have to think for myself or do any research. The work is done for me. How anyone who enjoys participating in this hobby and has respect for the MPA's they visit can support the notion of openly and repeatedly reporting bylaw infractions for all to see is beyond me. Sorry VBB but that is the way I see it.

Yes I know that moderators have to sleep too and cannot see all. And I don't put this on your shoulders specifically pool. But this type of reviewing practice has been going on for a long time. And moderators have read these reviews and don't follow the guidlines that were posted. We have stickies by an MP owner remindng us of the above. Why? Because of heat from bylaw.

We are shooting ourselves in the foot and that is just dumb.

VBB I was referring to pushing the boundaries as in review writing not in actual sessions. That may not have been apparent.
